The first step is the Briefing, a comprehensive description of the scope of the work. The Brief describes what will be done by whom, and also describes the decision-making process. This creative concept session will be conducted with the client to assure that we pull out the proper corporate identity standards and a strong understanding about the client's expectations, requirements and goals. All constituencies are involved, and a primary contact is established. As early as possible, a detailed site map is developed which includes the number of pages, navigation, what to include and preliminary design. This is basically the brainstorming session.

After the Brief, we come back with an approach plan whereby the design, content and marketing of the site is underway. It will contain enough actual programming to give the client a taste of the site functionality. Here we look for some feedback and basically, ask the question, are we on track?

Once a creative direction is determined, we move to the Prototype stage. Here, more templets and key pages are created, and advanced programming is implemented. Testing and graphics optimization is built into this stage and continues to the next.

Once the Prototype is revised and approved, we are ready to Launch the site onto the Web. This involves the completion of pages and the cgi-scripting for forms, as well as final programming and additional quality tests. We register the site with over 100 search engines, taking great care to include the 10 major search engines that are found on the Web today. Finally, we work with the client to organize in house training, technical backup and ongoing support. Any modifications that have to be made during the month are included in the monthly hosting and maintenance fees.
